Maizhou Yuan is a photographer who works in Beijing, China. Yuan focuses her projects on people’s emotions and identity by observing and discovering the hidden facts and relations between human and places in a subtle way; aiming to create an image world with its own regulations. She is also discovering other kinds of medias of expression, such as photobooks and videos. Her works have been published on Lenscratch and F-stop Magazine among others.
“She fought with depression.
She is a dancer.
She will be an art therapist.”
I took these photos for my friend Jiaqi with a Polaroid SLR 680 and a box of expired film, which presents coral pattern and stains on the images other than normal film.
