Fabio explained: “It’s a personal long–term project focused on Middle-East Europe unstable identity due to the consequences resulting from the regimes’ cleavage and from the advent of democracy; everything occurred under the gaze of the media, which today are telling about an Europe that is seeking refuge in itself. In my work I describe the everyday life of a society that is still in search for an identity; sights and places that carry with them the memory of a profound Europe, which suffered the violent effects of geopolitic dynamics, from the fall of the Berlin wall to the foundation of the European Union. I focused it capturing the sence of doubt that exist in the country that took part in the European Comunity and those with the hope one day to be in.
There are grazed faces and places corroded by memory, but also by modernity; they show the signs of modern euphoria, although they fall into the gloom of a retless past. The work passes through those areas which have lived a strong identity tension.”
